Comfort Hotel Grand Central - Oslo

3-star hotel inside Oslo Central Station with rock 'n' roll suites and historic architecture

Amenities & Facilities

Comfort Hotel Grand Central offers a 24-hour fitness center with a treadmill suitable for running and a second machine for walking. The co-work lobby provides affordable coffee and workspace for guests, complementing the free Wi-Fi throughout the building. The breakfast buffet includes organic options, hot and cold items, and is served in a historic restaurant space within the old train terminal.

Rooms & Suites

The hotel features rock 'n' roll themed suites uncommon in similar Oslo hotels, with artwork by designer Ariel McMillion. Soundproofed rooms guarantee a quiet stay despite the central location, and many rooms offer views of Jernbanetorget square, the Oslo Opera House, or the Oslo Fjord. Superior rooms include larger bathrooms with heated floors and a private balcony (enclosed), while compact doubles are functional for solo travelers.

Location & Nearby Attractions

Situated within the historic Østbanehallen wing of Oslo Central Station, the hotel provides direct access to the airport train and all city trams without stepping outside. The Oslo Opera House and Oslo Fjord are a 5-minute walk away, and the 13th-century Akershus Fortress is 0.5 miles away. Karl Johans Gate shopping street and Jernbanetorget Square are 300 ft from the entrance.

Dining & Breakfast

The on-site restaurant serves gourmet Italian cuisine in a setting that blends modern decor with historical elements from the former train station. Breakfast is a central selling point, with a diverse buffet including organic options, fresh fruit, and a typical Nordic selection - filtered coffee is available but no cappuccino machine. The bar (located at the reception lobby called 'barception') and snack bar offer light meals and drinks throughout the day.

Services & Accessibility

The hotel is pet-friendly, allowing furry guests with no size restrictions, and offers accessible rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Luggage storage is provided free of charge after check-out, and express check-in/check-out is available. A minimarket on site sells essentials, and electric vehicle charging stations are installed in the parking garage.
